The Lorain Furniture Gallery

An old friend of mine from high school contacted me a few weeks ago about photographing her furniture store for her website, The Lorain Furniture Gallery, thelfgallery.com. Yes! I wanted to do it..I adore antiques and decorating. She sells an eclectic collection of gorgeous antiques including chandeliers, pictures, and period pieces, as well as beautiful new furniture made by Rowe, eco-friendly in the USA with custom upholstery that is crafted of the mid-century modern style. I am not even a mid-century modern girl, but when I left her store, I found myself imagining redecorating my whole house like this. There were even a few chairs I found myself eying, that were being rented for a movie set. Kelly, the owner and my old friend I had not seen in years,  was the same, exactly, right down to her purple converse (yes, she's that cute ;) )..... And I felt like this treasure trove of beautiful and unique items and furniture were just an extension of who she is. Take a peek at some of the photos I snapped while I was there....

handmade candles too....

If you love mid-century modern furniture and antiques, you should take a look at her website, thelfgallery.com . You can drop by her store on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday, 12-5pm, or make an appointment during the week if you're in the Cleveland area.
